The 2nd Charles Dodgson Award

I used to pass by this junk yard on my way to helping someone learn Photoshop. I was always amazed by how tall the piles seemed to get. They always seemed a bit higher than the previous day. There is everything imaginable here. Things discarded and regarded as no longer useful. Man’s wasteful hand on a fragile planet. Returning over the course of several week, I started to photograph the piles of “stuff” that is thrown out on a daily basis. This photograph is from that series of images.

Great work by a gifted and talented group of photographers. Honored to have my image, "The Earth Giveth, Unacceptable Materials"  included as a finalist in the landscape category.
